Have you ever wanted to create those beautiful cookies you see on line and in bakeries? Join us for this fun, informative cookie class, no experience needed! You'll leave with 12 Custom Easter Cookies you can give as gifts or share with your friends and family. If you like, window display boxes will be available for purchase for your Easter Cookie gifting!
We'll begin with discussing recipes and preparation do's and don'ts. You'll learn about frosting consistencies and their uses. You will learn tricks to no-spread cut out cookies and get royal icing recipes which dry beautifully and leave a shine. You will be provided with 12 cookies, 2 of each design, bags of pre mixed icing with different consistencies, a scribe tool, a food grade black marker, recipes and pictures of finished cookies. We'll decorate 6 cookies together and then you'll have a chance to let your creativity take over! You will learn outlining (piping), flooding, wet on wet and layering techniques. We'll discuss storage and packaging.
We'll take a short break to provide time for your cookies to set up a bit before layering. A small menu will be available, along with non alcoholic beverages, beer and wine.
This class is also a great activity to do with children, ages 6 and older.All children must be accompanied by an adult. This will be our last cookie class until the fall. Classes fill up quickly and are limited to 30 students.
In the case of cancellation due to bad weather, you'll be given a choice of a refund or a cookie kit with all the fixings for decorating on you own.
